More on AET (New to PA!)

The following message was shared today with the Pennslyvania Ag Teachers! I thought it might be helpful to you as well.

Dr. Hanagriff will be guest speaking in our class on November 12th.

Dear Agricultural Education Teachers,

Each of you have access to The Agricultural Experience Tracker or commonly called the The AET.  This program is utilized by 42 states and over 300,000 students to offer a unique record book solution to agricultural education students and teachers.  We are excited that your state has joined AET.  In 2012-13 school year, we had over 2,500 PA student accounts from 21% of your programs, so we are excited to serve your entire state.
New features for AET this year include
  • AET Badges, to reward students with outstanding nationally ranked records,
  • a new process for teachers to review student records and rank students eligible for awards,
  • a new process for teachers/student to collaborate in their AET calendar and then export those details directly into NFFA's National Chapter Award.
  • new AET web features, where you can develop your AET and have the details you control shared on your own website hosted by The AET.
  • plus...many more.
Teachers can access The AET by going to our site (www.theaet.com) and selecting the "Teacher" sign in.  Your chapter state and number (PAXXXX) serve as your chapter and password log in (Make sure to use upper case PA or your current password if you are already a user).  You can follow our "Teachers Help" area to learn more or follow this short "Getting Started Guide for Teacher link here" - http://learn.theaet.com/F/learn/8-22-2013%20Teachers%20Getting%20Started%20Guide.pdf
You can change your password in the system.

Using this system allows you to:

2.     Quickly develop student accounts from FFA membership or import your class roster
3.     Capture chapter pictures to enhance your program's POA
4.     Develop a free chapter website that promotes your program and informs parents and others of chapter activities
5.     and a host of other features and reports that track your program's successes

Student using this system can:
1.     Complete a student profile that assist in developing their FFA AgCN profile
2.     Develop and track all types of SAEs
3.     Follows correct accounting methods and assist in managing inventory values to eliminate award errors
4.     Track their time in the classroom, FFA and Community Service Activities
5.     Apply for all state and national FFA awards using their records from AET....automatically delivering error free awards

Student can learn how to get started -

AET also offers educational resources to help in the classroom and we hope assist you in your efforts.  If you need assistance, please email our help line or myself. Thanks

Roger
